Isn't that a little like denial? Doing something and then denying that it happened the way that it did, revising it mentally, sort of like an historical revision of actual fact? If that's what you meant,
then I think a better choice would be to acknowledge the fact, acknowledge the impact that it had, or could have had, and then maybe have a conversation about what our words and actions might mean and how we can make it mean something else that's constructive, creative and collaborative. I have a problem with revisions. Maybe I don't quite understand what you're saying.
I didn't do a great job of explaining myself...probably shouldn't have tried to do it in three minutes or less.....What you said is the way to do it...we part ways at saying we can't or shouldn't do revisions....I think that creates new neural pathways that helps us make better choices in the future....we're pretty much on the same page!
