The other day I needed to go to the grocery store. I found the following thought floating through my mind. “I wonder which store it would be less likely to be shot in? Safeway or WinCo? Safeway is probably busier, so a shooter will think that is a better place to go. I’ll go to WinCo.”

(I've worked with them for 22 years and have gotten a lot of response to my words.) I'm currently looking for Unity Poetry (or anecdotes or brief stories) about a moment when you realized you could feel the humanity in someone you felt was quite different from you...part of a different tribe...maybe a group that has been unkind and unfeeling toward a group to which you belong. So this is a challenge to break apart some of the divisiveness. However, I use a lot of life stories and poetry, so it doesn't have to be just one about unity. Love the reminder those pesky thoughts, the ones that feel so foreign to me, feel that way because they weren't mine in the first place. My runway has no space for junk.
