Fascinating discussion. And don't forget that in martial arts, the weight and energy of the foe is USED against him/her/it. We've certainly seen that in the political losses of so many of the MAGAs in their political races, including the head guy in two elections...so far. I've been loving the wearing of pink as a statement that many women are now doing. To me, it feels like a soothing and loving strength...sisters embracing each other: kindness and unity. Thanks for this deep-thinking concept with a point that defies a knee-jerk reaction. Good "rising above the typical."

This articulates a reframe I've been struggling with. Your examples helped, as well. I had to read this 3 times in order to wrap my head around applying this concept to current mind blowing events in the political arena. I'm grateful to have lived long enough to understand the pendulum theory as it pertains to this situation as well and the contrast that helps me appreciate what is honest and loving.

Remembering the pendulum is so important!!!! Also, "what goes around comes around."

Jung believed that what we resist and push away in our unconscious mind tends to grow stronger and continue to affect us until we confront and integrate it. Resistance or repression of thoughts, emotions, or experiences often leads to their persistence and intensification. By not acknowledging and addressing these internal conflicts, they remain unresolved and continue to influence our behavior and mental state. This concept was intended as a recipe for personal transformation rather than socio-political change. But that is still possible: resisting intolerance, for example, by supporting and bringing tolerance into existence.
