What don’t you know?
And what does that keep you from doing? Sometimes people tell me that they don’t do what they really want to do in life because they don’t know how. My response is always, “Then learn how. Do it.”
When I began my first newspaper The New Times, I wish I had a dollar for every time someone told me: “You can’t publish a newspaper. You don’t know how!” To which I would respond: “I know. I am going to do it anyway.” And I did.
Here’s the deal. We don’t know how to do things until we do them. Take walking as an example. There was a time when you didn’t know how to walk. How did you learn? By walking. Sure, you fell. Then you got up and did it again. You fell a few more times. Finally, you were walking and haven’t stopped since!
Don’t let a silly thing like not knowing how to do something stop you from doing it. Take courses. Go to You Tube where you can learn just about anything. Get certified and licensed if that is required. No matter what: do not let not knowing how to do something stop you from doing what your heart and soul tell you you’re here to do.
We all need you to get on with it. And just like your parents praised you when you learned to walk, we’ll be here to applaud you when you do!
Living in grace and ease,
Krysta
Being stubborn can be a good or bad thing. I like to think, for me, it's a good thing. It was very hard for me to learn much in school but as I got older something changed. In high school I took it upon myself to take extra classes in the summer and again during the year. I graduated with more than the required credits but shortly after graduation something changed again. I found the desire to read and experience different cultures. I don't think I've ever stopped. Over the last 10 years or so I've been fascinated with ancient history and cultures. Mostly how they built things. I just love learning almost anything now. I like to think my stubbornness has kept me from stopping.
I've spent the last third healing from what I didn't know I didn't know and learning to trust THAT I will know when I'm supposed to as long as I stay connected 🙄
