Warning: there are some references to politics in this article.
Have you heard this? I guess some members of the Republican party are complaining that Kamala Harris, who is running to become president of our country, laughs too much. They, of course, call it cackling to get a maximum insult sent her way. One of these people also said something about Kamala being too joyful.
Now that she’s chosen Tim Walz to be her Vice-President, they complain that he is too laid back and likes to have fun. How terrible!
No matter what your particular political party is, what I want to write about is this whole idea of being critical of people who are joyful and having fun. Of course, we have a lot of serious issues facing the country and many people have serious personal issues facing them as well. There are lots of reasons to be morose, anxious, scared, and negative. And how do these feelings help? They don’t.
No matter that’s going on in the world or in your own life, bringing joy and humor to the table will be a lot more helpful than bringing a negative, sour puss attitude.
Joy is not dependent on what’s going on in the world or in your life. An aspect of joy is experiencing a deep sense that all is well no matter what else is happening around you. Yes, if we are facing challenges, we deal with them rather than deny they exist. Approaching our issues with an upbeat, positive attitude attracts better solutions.
I believe a majority of people in this country are tired of the negativity, the lying, the name-calling, the rudeness, and the criminal activities, that have been going on in our public arena for the last nine or so years. People are ready for hope, for rational solutions to problems, and for decency in our political arena again. I believe the Kamala-Walz ticket is this solution. I think many others agree with me.
Wherever you stand on the political spectrum, I suspect you would also like to see more joy and humor in your own world. Remember: Be the change you want to see! Find reasons to be happy and joyful and see how your world changes. I’m looking forward to witnessing how things continue to develop. My glass is more than half full – how about yours?
Living in grace and ease,
Krysta
It's so joyful to feel joyful. At last.
I would like to see these people discuss the issues facing our country and how they might fix or change them. I have yet to read much on anything from any candidate concerning any issues. I know I can look them up but the media should be reporting on those things and not all the finger pointing. No candidate should be dividing us. United we stand. Divided we fall. The rest of this is a very long story....
