I felt relief just to have the waiting over. Unexpectedly, I also felt the happiness of the red half of the country. Not that I'm happy with Trump or his plans, but simply the less angry and happiness of a large group of people. No, I don't expect that to last as it didn't the previous time he was elected. Also, my husband has banned all news, including left side like Meidastouch and the Lincoln Project. We're focusing on watching favorite movies and reading funny books--which did help also while waiting after the voting time. We've also read and watched The Raft and one about a boat trapped in the ice. It helps us realize that people often are able to tolerate quite difficult situations. We treat ourselves with acceptable foods and play cooking games.
It is my fond hope that the "good" people soon see what their vote has done to other people and rethink what they did. I think a lot of people allowed themselves to be ill-informed and will do better in the future!
