"Spending" and "Investing" are related to your talk about Seeing and Being Seen, and Acknowledging etc. I experience "Investing" similar to Acknowledging Others, a type of Investing in relationships, or in the well-being of others. I experience Spending as a type of psychological Consumerism, an unsustainable selfish quality in which competition, monopoly and manipulation of the lives of others squander creativity and possibility.
I'm not one for frivolity. I like to think of my purchases as investing. When I purchase something I like to look at how long will it last and will there be value after I'm done. Since I'm someone that makes things the old way, (by hand), I like to think I'm investing by doing so. Others will enjoy my creations for years to come and I like to look at things for the long term. Consumerism is all too much around us these days. The "throw-away" mind set bothers me and I don't see it as something positive these days.
Sorry if I'm jumping around. I'm still trying to get my day stared after a restless sleep with 2 dogs that have tummy issues.
Thanks. They are good. Just getting off and on the bed all night to go to the bathroom. Then we check to see what's going on. They were just restless because they were uncomfortable. Seem ok now but they are tired so they're sleeping in their beds now.
Yes, I know. We make our own dog food and we aren't sure what upset the tummies. But they seem good now. If they sleep all night then we know they are good.

I agree with you --- sorry about your pups not feeling well and hope they improve quickly!
