Two boxcutters, please!

A lesson in manifesting

As you can imagine, we have a lot of boxes to give to recycling. Although we’ve been able to find homes for some of our boxes by giving them to others who are moving, we have still been left with plenty that need to be cut up and sent off to recycling. Rhonda has a small knife she has been using but it isn’t really meant for this type of cutting. What’s funny is we know we have two boxcutters somewhere in one of the boxes.

Because these boxcutters have kept themselves hidden, Rhonda decided to order two boxcutters from Amazon so we could get rid of more cardboard on recycling day. The boxcutters should have arrived Thursday morning just in time to meet the Friday morning recycling truck. All day, she kept checking to see where they were, hoping they would arrive in time to get the cardboard cut and put in the bin. Finally, around 4:00, she decided we just had to go ahead without our new boxcutters. Out into the garage we went. I thought to myself, “Wouldn’t it be funny if they arrive while we’re out here.”

No sooner had I said this than an Amazon truck pulled up right in front of me….literally - I was standing in the middle of the driveway. The driver jumped out, put the envelope containing the boxcutters in my hand, smiled and said to have a nice day, jumped back in his truck and drove away. I looked at Rhonda and said, “Now that was a lesson in manifesting. Things might show up at what we think is the last minute, but they are actually right on time. If these had arrived any earlier they would have just sat on your desk until we came out to the garage. This way, they arrived right when they were needed.”

When you catch yourself getting scared because the rent or mortgage payment is due tomorrow or next week and you don’t know how the money is going to show up, or if it will show up on time, remember the boxcutters. They came when they were needed and not a second sooner. Whatever you’re manifesting will show up on time - but you have to believe it will, and trust the process. Not always easy to do, I know. But, as I like to say to my clients, if you wanted easy, you would have gone to a different planet, not this one.
