The other day I came across a video on YouTube that not only touched me deeply, but also the people I have shared it with. I decided you might enjoy it as well. The song is Across the Universe by John Lennon and this version is performed by Fiona Apple.
Lennon says that he woke up one morning and was in a bad mood. So he went down stairs and this song came to him. He wrote it down and then went back to bed. Although the Beatles did record the song, Lennon said he felt the group didn’t do the song justice. I wonder what he thinks of this version?
The reason I am sharing it with you is because it shows how many people feel today. In one way or another, many of us feel our world is being attacked by those who would turn back the calendar to less socially-inclusive times. Other people feel like their world is coming apart for one reason or another. This version of the song is about staying in our center no matter what’s going on around us.
I hope you enjoy it and find it helpful staying in grace and ease more often!.
Living in grace and ease,
Krysta
This is a beautifully presented song, with sensitivity, poignancy and inspiration. I love it! Thanks for sharing it. I want to share a different type of song video with its own brand of poetry, inspiration and prophesy. I hope you will appreciate it as much as I do.
