Much of the time when we’re trying to manifest something, we focus on the big things like more money, a new house or partner, children, a new car, or world peace. Truthfully, though, happiness is found in the little things.
We needed some more shampoo in our house lately. When I went to the store, I decided to be bold and buy two different kinds. I know - two different kinds of shampoo at the same time? Who does that? I guess I do and when I came home from the store, my spouse was just as excited as I was.
The next morning as I was getting ready to take my shower I remembered that I was going to try the second new shampoo and felt really happy. That’s when it hit me that happiness really is about the little things. Getting excited over trying a new shampoo sounds pretty trite and boring. You probably think I must lead a pretty uneventful life and in some ways, I guess I do. I’m glad that I can find happiness in such a small thing. I don’t have to wait for the big things to happen before finding joy in my everyday life.
You know how it works. The happier and more grateful we are, the more good we attract into our lives. Go ahead and let yourself be happy and excited over the little things like having hot water on demand, electricity at the flip of a switch, toothpaste, and a nice shampoo for your shower. There are many people who don’t have those things and are very jealous of those who do. Let’s find joy in the smallest of life experiences and let those joyful energies spread all over the planet. What a nice gift to give ourselves and to the entire world.
Living with grace and ease,
Krysta
Krysta, I Totally Agree with your Shampoo thingie. Not to get off the beatin track, we just got our Property Taxes today ! ACK ! ! ! gone up $216.00 OMG... WaaaaaaaWhoaaaa... After I got over the SHOCK of the increase yet AGAIN I decided to Look around us and understand we Need to Live Within our Means & Simplify our Life in the Needs & Wants of Everyday Life. We Truly Appreciate what we have here in our own Paradise with the Mountains & it's Mystery Water Fall that shows up off & on, the Deer, last count of 17 that roam freely & unafraid of those who feed them, (Hubby) the Hummers & birds that grace our feeders, the Smell of Fresh Air (when the Marijuana place isn't blooming or a Smoker isn't out smoking), The Privacy from others & the Beauty on a Blue Sky Day. There WILL be a day when we are No Longer here & the Here and Now is what we NEED to Focus on, not the Ails of our Bodies after hours of yardwork, but the days that we can Sit outside & Enjoy the Serenity of What we Own, only to worry about the future on another day, but Not Today. Never take for Granted of What you Have, but Live in the Moment of who you are Now. Hugs to you :-)
