Some days it is difficult to know what to do. There are so many frustrating situations; things are happening that can make us sad and mad at the same time.
The ice imaging is a good idea. I'm finding now that so much of the recent changes are going well for me. I've put a little effort into broadening my social connections...talking to neighbors more regularly, for instance. Making a point of chatting at stores has always been a pleasure for me and now, even more so. This is a time when I'm finding even more reasons to continue teaching my writing classes and groups. So satisfying. Hubby and I are having a great period of time--spending more of it together in pleasant conversations, reading to each other, cooking together. Luxurious petting of our 4 cats. Cozy warm naps. Improvements around the house...yes, I got the guest bedroom tv working again...feels major! A basement painting project in the near future will be a fun and useful couple of hours. Looking forward to snow...we always have at least a little at this time of year. A good excuse to turn on the Christmas lights again. Going through my clothes is surprisingly fun. Getting rid of some--more spacious closets. Wearing things I've forgotten I really like. Giving some to family and donating some to our local ER. Looking forward to seeing someone in a coat that's too big or too little for me. Makes selecting clothes each morning easier and fun...starting to look only at comfortable clothes that please me. Old lady "dress-up" game? Why not? Seeing how many ways to combine pieces of clothes. Some combos are hilarious: must wear into the living room to show hubby. Cooking with less salt/sodium--feels better and allows us to get creative with herbs, spices, plant foods. Making sugar an expected treat: dark chocolate is good for you :-), cocoa can be daily with stevia, avocado makes my lipid tests really good...who knew??? Walking through stores and spending less or nothing. Yes, pretty stuff someone else can buy. Watching weather, moon phases, local animals--other people's pets as well as deer, birds, an occasional big cat, owl, little bear, some sunny afternoons. Watching our herb garden still producing. Deep breathing, walks, relaxing tapes and music, meditation. Giving unexpected thank you gifts to medical helpers. Thanks to mail deliverers, garbage guys, other service people. Big smiles.

I am thinking of putting a bunch ice into a blender to really pulverize it before it melts.
