Let’s celebrate the far right….

“What? Krysta, have you lost your mind? We need to push against these nut jobs being put into office. How can we celebrate this? You’ve gone off the deep end.”

Okay. Maybe I have gone off the deep end, but I don’t think so. Just hear me out. Once I saw that it looked like 45 would become 47, I told people close to me that this could be a good thing.

First of all, don’t blame me or yourself - I voted for Kamala and I suspect you did as well. And it is true that the other half of the country put us into the grand mess about to rain down on us. Some of them are already seeing, and admitting, they were conned and are now beginning to doubt their choice for president. We have to remind ourselves of this good news: it looks like he won by only 1.8% of the vote and many people stayed home and chose not to vote. He doesn’t have the mandate he likes to brag he has.

How can it be good that soon at the helm of the USA ship we will have an unstable, mentally unwell, wannabe-dictator man who is apparently aligned with some of the world’s worst dictators? This isn’t good as such since there will most likely be a lot of suffering in our country before the good shows up. However, 45 and his lackeys are the lance that will open the floodgates of the huge boil we’re living under.

I predict he and his followers will go too far this time, far enough that people will wake up and realize they don’t want to go down the road of having such a “strong man” making decisions that will affect every facet of their daily lives. Right now, these people are scared and 45 has convinced them that “he alone can fix it.”

They applaud mass deportations until their next door neighbor and family are picked up and sent away. As one Trumper said on television “I was for this until they took Ricardo and his family away. He was one of the good guys. I never thought they would take the good ones away.”

These voters never thought that their own family members could be targeted because they have brown skin. “But they are US citizens, born and lived here their entire lives. How can they take them away?” Or maybe they will watch as their LGBTQ family members lose the right to be married, even having their marriages annulled. “Gosh, I never thought they would do that.” Or watch in dismay as the young adults in their families can’t get contraception. “Oh, I just thought they would outlaw abortion, not contraceptives.”

I won’t even go into the massive debt that will be incurred on behalf of the richest people in our country. Last time 45 held office his tax reduction for his wealthy friends cost us about eight trillion dollars (per The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget: crfb.org). There are so many other ways various disasters will fall on us. Please familiarize yourself with Project 2025 which will become the guiding force of our federal government. Unless you are a far-right Christian conservative who wants to live by the Old Testament, you will find Project 2025 doesn’t have the interests of our country - or you - at heart. Quite the opposite. Project 2025 is designed to tear our country apart and remake it in the image of the far right: Christian Nationalism.

“So, Krysta,” you say. “You’re depressing me. How can any of this be good?” Because if things get bad enough, it will wake up the sleeping masses who pay more attention to how well their favorite movie did at the box office instead of who is being elected to their local school board. Yes, I realize there probably will be a lot of awful things happening before the good reveals itself. I also realize I could be terribly wrong.

However, when I look at history and when I remember the entire planet is going through an upgrade in energy, I honestly believe I am correct. And I am not the only voice crying out in the wilderness. The boil will be lanced and healing will occur one way or the other. I don’t know how long it’ll take. Remember, it took a long while for things to get this bad. The ride could get bumpier. Stand in there with me, hold on, shine your Light and remember to live in grace and ease.

When we emerge on the other side, we’ll celebrate - oh, heck, let’s celebrate life right now! Why wait! Tomorrow is the opportunity to celebrate gratitude. Let’s take some time to focus on what is working for us and be grateful! Good will prevail.
