Luther Burbank who was close to Yoganada in Southern California said something similar: "The secret of improved plant breeding, apart from scientific knowledge, is love."
This sits well with my chosen word, love, for this year's intention ♥️ it's amazing what shows up when I get out of the way. Of course it's also pretty darned "amazing" what shows up when I let the s*#tt* committee in my head take over and always leaves me with humility and lessons.lol
As for plants, in the house, in my garden, the arboretum, Volunteer Park Conservatory, any botanical garden I may have the pleasure of visiting and sharing....being among them grounds me and brings out the love parts in me. Maybe that is why pruning is a task I approach with loving care with my manual priners and a one branch at time approach rather than the buzz of power equipment. How could I possibly be tuned in to their needs for renewal if I hurriedly do a whack job with electric clippers? Not to mention my own feeling of contentment and renewal upon completion. Sorry for the digression. Your post usually feel like a beautiful journaling promt on a quiet Sunday morning here in the PNW. ❤️❤️❤️❤️.
