We’re nearing the beginning of the last quarter of 2023. I know. It feels like we just celebrated New Year’s and at the same time, it feels like this year should be done already. How we experience time is changing and it’s important to hold on lightly, if at all, to the concept of time. For many this is the beginning of planning the next year. The next few weeks are wonderful times to take stock of how 2023 has gone for you and how you would like 2024 to be different.
We celebrate the turning of the wheel with the Autumn Equinox which falls at 6:50 UTC (1:50 a.m. CDT) September 23, 2023. On this day, the hours of daylight and nighttime are equal and from this point onward the days will begin to get shorter. This is a great time of year to begin some energetic hibernation, allowing room to slow down, assess, feel, and simply allow nature to take her course.
Then next Friday, we celebrate the full moon, a time of energetic fruition followed by the waning moon which is all about letting go.
Why am I talking about all of this? Well, in addition to many other astrological and energetic events occurring right now, my intention is to help all of us understand the type of energies we’re dealing with. When we have a better handle on this, it is much easier to manifest, to understand why some people do what they do, and to align our energies with what’s going on in the bigger picture.
Too often, we stumble forward in our lives without taking the time to assess and plan. Then we wonder why things don’t work for us so well. There’s a lot going on energetically these days and we’re seeing it reflected in the activities happening across the planet. This is the sort of time that it is easy to take on too much of this energy and then take responsibility for things that aren’t ours to own.
This week get really clear on what’s yours and what isn’t. Get clear on where you’ve been and where you would like to go in the next period of time. If possible, make some plans that are flexible. We only see a little bit down the road ahead of us and need to be ready for twists and turns as well as boulders and ravines that show up unexpectedly.
If you would like to learn more about the fall equinox, I am posting a link to an interview I did with Rev. Judith Laxer from Gaia’s Temple in 2018. The information still applies, and her contact information is correct if you want to find out what she is doing in Seattle to celebrate this year.
Living in grace and ease,

Some years ago I took it upon myself to learn about many different belief systems. It was an adventure to say the least and took many years to learn what I have learned. I found many things in common with each, yet some were too structured to be beneficial for myself. I've always felt more comfortable outside among nature. Away from the noise of city life is where I journeyed many times just to keep myself focused. From CA to WY is a huge move and I'm so happy I've made the move. I can do as I wish which is a nice change. I can enjoy the night sky full of stars and watch as the moon goes about it's phases. The nights and days are always full of wonder out here and the wildlife is not afraid to visit. The energies are free-flowing and the Northern Lights are beautiful. Yes, it is a season for change and your words are very positive. Thank you.
"Get clear on what's yours and what isn't." Last night I found this song by Delbert McClinton called "You Were Never Mine". I think it's a beautiful song and it fits in your post. Give it a listen.
