Get some new ideas
Everyone gets stuck from time to time and feels like they don’t know how to deal with a challenge or find a way to do something differently. Most of us talk to someone else in our field of endeavor and hope they have some ideas we haven’t tried. Here’s a new approach.
I’m a watercolor artist and a writer. If I’m challenged in either field, the natural inclination is to talk with another writer or watercolor artist. To try this new approach, I would talk to someone in a different field, present the issue to them and see what they have to say.
Sometimes we see things more clearly when we are removed from the actual situation. In my case, maybe someone in the fiber arts field or a computer whiz could offer a new viewpoint and solution, one that neither I nor another painter would think of. By enlisting the ideas of someone in a different field than mine, I increase my opportunity for a new solution, just as I would be able to offer them a new viewpoint in their field.
The next time you feel stuck or challenged, ask for ideas from someone who is not in your field of endeavor and see what happens. I did and was happily surprised at the results!
(By the way, I found my five guinea pigs to try my Soul Whisper cards and will share the results soon.)

I often tell my writing students to get comments from non-writers. I've often included artists in my writing groups, for example. And people who are readers but not writers. Good suggestion, Krysta.
