For this moment I was born

This statement took my breath away the first time I heard it. There was such a feeling of largesse from the Universe. Nothing I do is unimportant because “For this moment I was born.”

Take a second and close your eyes while being centered within your heart. Whisper “For this moment I was born.” Breathe in and say it again. Revel in how this feels to you. Saying this erases both past and future while giving focus to the present.

From this space, everything you do and say, think and feel can be acknowledged as important. Why does this matter? Most people find their day-to-day lives somewhat humdrum. Many people feel that their lives don’t mean much in the big picture. From a spiritual perspective, this is not true. How often have you heard it said that “…the point of power is always in the present moment?” Author and teacher Louise Hay and many others have made this statement numerous times.

Saying “For this moment I was born” brings us into the present moment in ways other things can’t. Whether you’re washing dishes, brushing the dog, helping your child with their homework, or designing a website, you were born for exactly that moment. It’s the only one you have.

Relish this. Say it to yourself often and find yourself able to approach every situation with a deeper sense of connection and meaning.

For this moment, I was born.
