Do you want an "Aha!?"
Sometimes we need an “aha” moment. Maybe we’ve been moving forward and now find ourselves stuck in the day-to-day minutia of life. We’re bored. There’s nothing wrong – we just feel the need for something new. We want an “aha” moment where we suddenly have some sort of new insight. Here are some ideas to seduce insights into coming your way.
First, give yourself an hour to do nothing. Turn off the television, computer, and your phone. Give yourself permission to do nothing except be open to new ideas, feelings, and inspirations. Have paper and pen nearby or a verbal recording device.
Second, take a glass of water and bless it. Infuse it with the magical something you want. Then drink the water and ask that it fill every cell of your body with new ideas and inspiration.
Third, allow yourself to sit and do nothing or let yourself walk slowly and aimlessly through your home, office, or yard. Clear your mind. Let yourself entertain any thoughts that come to you.
Fourth, save any thoughts that feel really good to you, no matter how bizarre they might seem to be. Write or record them briefly. Don’t worry about full sentences or whether or not anything makes sense to you.
Fifth, thank yourself for creating this space and thank the ideas that came to you. Spend a few moments going over the ideas that came and see if any of them are the “aha’ you were looking for. If so, enjoy and embrace them. Of not, do this exercise again in a few days. Something will come if you woo it and give it the space to materialize in your mind.
Living in grace and ease,
Krysta
