Discombobulated......
...I had to look that up to be sure I spelled it correctly!
I was so proud of myself when, as I unpacked some kitchen items, I found the coffee pot and enough coffee for one day. After the pride, however, came the fall. No mugs. No cups. Nothing to drink the coffee in. I dug through boxes marked kitchen and dishes to no avail until - eureka!!!! I found my mug I bought in Spain. However, after several more HOURS looking and unwrapping kitchen items, no more mugs.
So, since I get up before Rhonda does, I decided to stop looking because we could share the one mug. This is what we did. I was through with my coffee when Rhonda got up so she could use the prized mug. After more hours of unwrapping and putting away dishes, still no more mugs. Fortunately, we’re going to Rhonda’s Mom’s house for dinner tonight and she said she would lend us mugs if we haven’t found ours.
This is good news. However, a few minutes ago I realized I haven’t found the rest of the coffee either. So we’ll have the coffee maker and two mugs and no coffee. I guess we have to get some of that from Aggie as well.
Although this home is about the same size as our home in Gold Bar, I keep getting lost. The other home was a rectangle. This one is more circular. I keep having to ask what is on which side of the house. Pearl is having a lot of fun following me around among all the boxes and she is probably laughing in her own corgi way.
When we were outside this morning, we heard a whooshing sound. We were both startled and Pearl started barking. I looked to my right where the sound came from and saw a young girl jumping up and down on her trampoline. Every time she rose above the brick wall, we saw each other and waved and smiled. My first neighbor sighting! So exciting!
Here’s a photo of the side of our house. See the trees and other vegetation? That is in the common area and we don’t have to do anything except enjoy it. Wouldn’t you know that with all the homes in this neighborhood, we would get the one with trees? Ah —- life is good!
Break time is over. Back to unpacking now - wish me luck finding the coffee mugs and the coffee!
Moving with grace and ease,
Krysta
